Nebraska AHEC Program, AHEC Scholars LogoNebraska AHEC Scholars Program - Community-based Experiences

One of the required components of the Nebraska AHEC Scholars Program is the 40 hours of community-based experiences (CBE) each year. This CBE requirement can either be fulfilled through clinical training/rotation experiences (they must be in rural or urban underserved areas) or community engagement/service-learning experiences.

You are completing this form because you have not completed 40 hours of clinical hours in eligible locations or because you have not yet started your clinical training.

Please list community-based experiences you may have had over this last year. You will enter the required information for one experience at a time. Examples include, but are not limited to: volunteering at a vaccine clinic, volunteering at a health fair, and other experience where you engage with the community. If you are a UNMC student, experiences such as IPE day and volunteering at the Sharing Clinic will count towards this requirement.

Please complete the form below to the best of your abilities to help us ensure you have or will fulfill your requirements for this year. You may list completed or anticipated experiences. If you have questions please contact ahecscholars@unmc.edu. Please complete this form by May 31, 2024.
