One of the required components of the Nebraska AHEC Scholars Program is the 40 hours of community-based experiential
(CBE) each year. This CBE requirement can either be fulfilled through clinical training/rotation experiences (they must be in rural or urban underserved areas) or community engagement/service-learning experiences.
The location eligibility is determined by the Nebraska AHEC Program and we will follow up with you further, as needed. You must complete 40 hours each year; however, we will help you meet this goal and ensuring this doesn’t create additional burdens.
Since clinical training/rotations are required by all health profession programs we are collecting this information first. Please list all completed and/or anticipated clinical trainings/rotations, clerkships, or preceptorships that you have completed for this academic year. You will enter the required information for one rotation at a time.
Please complete the form below to the best of your abilities to help fulfill your requirements. If you have questions please contact Central Nebraska AHEC Office at mccartys1@unk.edu . Please complete this form by May 31st.
Please reach out if you have questions. Note: if the 40 hour eligibility requirement is not met you will be contacted for further information and community engagement/service-learning hours will be collected at that time.
